Mark Wildman's, Bad Dice, Orcs and Goblins won Judges Choice(I believe), Great Paint Job!

This Tournament was a 28 player event, originally with 40 scheduled.  An 8th Edition Warhammer Fantasy event, played Thursday night until about 10 pm. 

Whew! My New Board And Redone O&G army won Best Display(Players Choice I think) sweat and tears boyz.

Adepticon 2014 Team Tournament 2k Featured Armies

Adepticon 2014 Team Tournament Featured painted armies.  This Event was Friday and there were 120 teams at the event, maybe 122.  Lots of fun was had and shenanigans during games.  GMM Studios attended with their ship and this army below, great boards and armies.



This HE and Dwarf army won Best Display or Theme, Great 4' wide board! Water Effects and freehand backdrop.

The Marienburger from GMM Studios Strikes again!  Winning another Paint Award at the TT.

MWR9: Tower

 My new Tower assembled for MWR 9's Terrain project.  I will be doing some interior work to this.  This is the Astromancer's Lair from Games Workshop.  Plenty of small bits will be added to the base to give the medieval battle effect.  Interiorly I will be adding stairs, ladders, chests, doors, weapons racks, and skulls.

Main housing with add on exterior evil pool of skulls from original tower set.

I have done further work on this terrain piece but wanted to feature it before the table of terrain is due next month, stay tuned until then.

Adepticon prep.

We had a 10 man 1,000pt tournament on Jan. 15, 2014 at Gryfalia's Aerie just a few weeks ago.  This is a few pictures we took during the event.  Featuring unstable dice podcast and Waaaghcast in attendance we had Joe from Waaaghcast take Best overall with Empire, Ryan win Best general Lizardmen, Steve win Sports with Empire, and Calvin win Best painted with Brets.  We actually got in 4 rounds with a max. score of over 60 battle points.  Using VP to determine winners and Battle points to help spread out the overall scores.  Some battle points were killing wizards, bsbs, or generals just to add some flavor.

Wood Elf 'Sisters' Forest Dragon: Comission

A small fast assembly of a dragon in 1 week and painting in a couple hours.  The basing was left to the owner to match his current WE scheme.  standard washing and highlights were used with it.  The two 'Sisters' riding the dragon are pinned by their feet in the neck of the beast.

 

 

Prior to assembly each joint took 1-2 pins

Full view, tallarn flesh and green with black and green highlights

sisters were generic White cloak and black cloak.

These 2x3 units of Demi 'Gryph' Cock riders are usable in my upcoming Halfling army.  They were scratch built from rubber toy chickens and roosters and combined with Empire bits, metal halflings, and bretonnian peasant and knight bits.

Bits were taken from the Demi-Gryph Empire set to make the armor



Green stuffing armor was also used



This unit has lances and added on Bretonnian bits



Saddles were custom made and my cork basing used to
