Dungeons and Dragons Minis: Halfings

Just a couple commissions I worked on for a family memeber....they look pretty good. A little dark in the pictures but thats because of 2 layers of devlon mudd....

HeroTitan Conversion.

So I got to do another commission but this time its an assembly from bits and paint job. It is a herotitan made out of sphinx parts...I found an example of it online and even have a paint scheme written out for me.

Any advice let me know! Never worked on TK before but pretty confident I can pin this guy together and green stuff his butt.

Chaos dwarfs vs. Empire 1600

Well we ended up playing blood and glory and I chose the river corner of course. His empire list had 2 vanguarding cav units, a swordsmen block with 2 5 man detachments of archers, 8 knights with priest and general who has the runefang, a hellblaster and cannon with engineer. I did use the same list and opposite setup(otherside of the board)

Turn 1 my cannon rolled a one and it blew magma everywhere! Damn it. I shot swordsmen every turn with at least 1 shrieker and he made panic checks every turn. I did move the bull centaurs up turn 1 and charge the hellblaster turn 2. His HB got 18 hits on the BCs but only 1 wound. I mopped up the warmachines with them. This is where I think the wolf riders could attract more attention...but we'll see maybe try them out later. Steves cannon rolled a 1 to wound my shrieker O.o whew and then died. turn 2

Turn 3-4 my Iron Demon stood off and shot chaff but I should have surged forward. however I cannot stomp cav and he could of tied me up with several fast cav units or the generals unit of knights. The generals unit turned to face the BCs however and charged them killing them. My iron Demon tried to charge the swordsmen with bowmen in the way and they ran and later rallied. His generals unit reformed and his character with runefang charged out in the last turn of the game killing the iron demon. My khan got in the way of his unit but next time will get in the way of the character...

So my mistake here was not threatening the center with my blocks. I did a ton of damage taking out 5 units of chaff and withering down his 30+ swordsmen down to 10 with warmachines however if I don't get more aggressive with my iron demon it won't pay off. Another tactic may be to hide my khan or join him with the BCs and charge out with him at warmachines....like steve did with his priest and general towards the end of the game...since multiple characters can charge from a regiment. It was a loss though by about 200pts. Making the CDs 3-1 so far in practice. Wins against Empire, Wood Elves, and Orcs and Goblins and one loss to Empire after Steve figured out how to kill my big nasties lol :)

Chaos Dwarf vs Orcs and Goblins 1600

Starting out I used my second list which is right under this posting. I did end up corner deploying behind a wall and throwing out my tank in the middle and bull centaurs on the right flank.

Turn 1 which CDs went first saw the bull centaurs make a charge on Vanguarding Wolf Riders and winning. Glittering robe getting off with IF and doing a wound to my metal casting general. A enlarged fireball got scrolled which was good because that needs to be pulled out early. The flame cannon destroyed squigs and a mangler! The shriekers did good damage with their templates all games but no units failed panic checks.

Turn 2 Fire ball killed another chariot headed into my corner, flame cannon killed a snotling pump wagon and a shrieker got another direct hit killing 12 goblins, but again all units made panic checks.

Turn 3 after the O&G finally get within range the Goblin Wolf Chariot fails its charge, His mangler rolls 3 1's and dies, and the bull centaurs overrun into the lobba finally after Kevins bolt thrower kills one and I make a panic check. My shooting faze saw another chariot destroyed, orcs dead from shrieker, and squigs dead from a shrieker. My tank also does charge his night goblin unit in the center through fanatics which do 1 wound to the Iron Demon.

The last turns saw the Iron Demon get into the flank of the Orcs but Kevins Great weapon lord can't do enough wounds to kill the tank. The death shrieker one shot kills the doom diver and the bull centaurs reform on the far flank.

It was a good game with practice. The war machines are a good choice but I am left wondering how a hellcannon could perform. However without a big nasty infantry, destroyer, or iron demon to threaten the center I would plainly see everyone marching right up to me...In my original list revision I did drop some wolf riders for more numbers in the CDW and Hobos...but they only ever fought once in this game against the remaing squigs...so I am left wondering if I should throw more chaff on the flank...

Any advice let me know!

International Amigo Swapfest and Tourney 2012

I just wanted to Post some pics from a mutual friend. He held an international gamesday and trade day in notorious Decatur, Illinois. We had over 20 warhammer fantasy players throughout the day and multiple games until the wee hours of the night! I know alot of trading happened and several players platested lists. This was also an opportunity for players to meet up and learn a new thing or two.

Chaos Dwarf Potential Tournament List

I just wanted to post a Potential Tournament List and get some critiques from any knowledgeable players out there in the internet land. I currently am taking what I have painted at the moment. In the Pipeline I do have Kdaii in the works, a hellcannon, and a flame cannons. The list would probably be deployed in either corner or form up behind or around a structure. The Iron Daemon would forge forward and charge anything that came its way. Chaos Dwarf update

Well I have gotten a alot done in the last couple weeks. Firstly I ordered some InstaMold from ebay and also a ultraforge daemon to convert into a destroyer.

I had traded for some daemons of chaos some time ago but thought that a Daemon prince or great korne bloodthirster didn't fit exactly the role I needed to fill. I will post some WiP images just for your entertainment but of course no final images! The instamold I used too mold wheels from 2 earthshaker cannons. These will be used to my irondaemon tank, and all warmachines!

Now for the WiP Pictures! Some Wheels, Daemon in the middle of being converted and a Standard bearer's standard! all these are currently being glued btw.
