Chaos Dwarfs: Destroyer

Just a few pictures of a converted destroyer. Converted it from an Ultraforge War Demon and used the arms and hands from the GW BloodThirster. The right hand axe is from an old ugly Ogre model. All of the blue flame is green stuff around joints and fur. The head is a combination of the Zombie Dragon head and the skull bit from a Chaos Hellcannon. The tail piece is the whip from the bloodthirster kit also.

This is another picture of my Bale/Bull Taurus with the newly painted rider. He is a classic piece and I still need to glud the chaos shield on his arm.

RockCon 2013

Here are some good Pics of Paul, Ray, Brandon, and Miel at Rockcon. If you look careful you can see a handful of other players throwing down games in the background. I had a great time up north in Rockford, Illinois and need to get my battle report together! Can't Wait until next year! And just for your information Miel won Best Overall with Empire, Myself with Best Painted and Chaos Dwarfs, and there was a best General Award but I can't remember off hand who got that.

Flatcon Tournament Best Sports!

With a thousand point wrap up coming I threw down against some great opponents. Going 2-1 I won against Dwarfs and Warriors of Chaos, but consequently lost to Skaven! My list is here;

I took a small block of Chaos Dwarfs and Hobgoblins alongside a death shrieker and hellcannon, plus a level 1 daemonsmith with lore of death and 3 bull centaurs. My first game I had a great turn 1 with all my artillery hitting and then my hellcannon failed its leadership check and lurched forward. I was then counter charged by several skaven units and then followed up being overrun by the skaven warlord who killed my Hellcannon in one round of combat. WoC game 2:

Game 2 was a win versus WoC with my cannon misfiring, eating the crew, and then getting frenzy and hatred and rampaging across the board through his general's unit and a regiment of Warriors of Chaos. Game three saw my bull centaurs tear through 2 blocks of Dwarfs.

Went 2-1 and got best sports out of 8 players!

Army of the Month: Flatcon 2012

Just wanted to post my friends newest army super secret Orcs and Goblin Army, it took him 27 hours to paint and he did it in 5 days. He then took best painted at Flatcon which is a tournament in Bloomington, IL. Orcs and Goblins for the win!

Battle Board: 2013

This is a built board as of now, with a base layer paint(black), and then layered twice with 2 shades of grey.

Chaos Dwarfs: Bull Taurus

Posting some images of my Bull Taurus. Threw him on the correct base and added some interesting GW wings. All of the blue flames match the remainder of the army. The little armor plates are cut plasticard to mimic the Forge World model. I really like that model but damn I spent hundreds getting some of these figs and didn't want to drop a ton of money on a model I might use twice. Any comments or criticism is welcome. I got to add a little bit more color to the base but this bull is 95% done.

Battle Board 2013

A little more work on the battle board. mainly leveling out the battlefield with thin strips of newspaper. Additionally, we, I mean my daughter an i when she was up in the middle of the nights..., put several layers of rocks and bumpy bumps on the hill and the 2x2 four inch think pieces. Enjoy.

Well with a little nudge from fellow players I suppose some board pics are in order. This is a 4" deep layered styrofoam board. styrofoam collected, glued, and cut to fit 2'x2' sections. building is almost done and 4'x6' of basing is next. a couple configurations are below to allow for more options, lessons learned from battle board 1 comments welcome
